1. Good elasticity
Polyester fabric has high strength and elastic recovery ability, while polyester fabric has high strength and elastic recovery ability. The bags made of polyester fabric are sturdy, durable, wrinkle resistant, and iron-free.
2. Good corrosion resistance
Polyester fabrics are resistant to bleach, oxidants, hydrocarbons, ketones, petroleum products, and inorganic acids. Resistant to dilute alkali and not afraid of mold, but hot alkali can cause its decomposition. There is also a strong ability to resist acid, alkali, and ultraviolet rays, so the finished luggage made of polyester fabric has better corrosion resistance.
3. Good light resistance
The light resistance is second only to acrylic fiber. Polyester fabrics have good light resistance, and apart from being inferior to acrylic fibers, their sun resistance is superior to natural fiber fabrics. Especially behind the glass, the sun resistance is very good, almost on par with acrylic.
4. Poor staining
Although polyester fabric has poor dyeing properties, it has good color fastness and is not easy to fade. Once the dyeing is successful, the color is not easily faded.
5. Poor hygroscopicity
Polyester has weaker moisture absorption than nylon, so its breathability is not as good as nylon. However, polyester is prone to drying after washing, and the fabric strength hardly decreases, making it less prone to deformation. The produced luggage products generally do not deform due to washing.
6. Good thermoplasticity, poor melting resistance
Due to its smooth surface and tightly arranged internal molecules, polyester is a heat-resistant fabric in synthetic fiber fabrics, possessing thermoplastic properties. At the same time, polyester fabrics have poor melting resistance and are prone to forming pores in the event of smoke, sparks, etc. Therefore, it is advisable to avoid contact with cigarette butts, sparks, etc. when wearing.
7. Good wear resistance
The wear-resistant and scratch resistant performance of luggage products made of polyester material is relatively good. If used normally, they can be used for a long time without deformation, fading, or damage. Polyester fabrics have different specifications and grades, such as 75D, 150D, 300D, 600D, 1200D, and 1800D, all of which are made of polyester. The fabric surface is darker and rougher than nylon. D is the abbreviation for DENIER. The larger the number of D, the higher the density and thickness of the material, and the better its wear resistance.
